Data will be processed for:

Nature of the data
The provision of data is optional.
Refusal to provide data entails the impossibility of registering and therefore of receiving the newsletter events refusal to provide data for communications entails the impossibility of receiving the same. The interested party always has the possibility of unsubscribing via the appropriate link at the bottom of each communication received or by contacting the University at the addresses indicated in this notice.
Treatment modalities
Personal data will be processed in hard copy, computerised and telematic form and entered in the relevant databases and may be accessed, and therefore become known, by the employees expressly designated by the Data Controller as Internal Data Processors and Persons in Charge of Processing Personal Data, who may carry out consultation, use, processing, comparison and any other appropriate operation, including automated operations, in compliance with the provisions of the law necessary to guarantee, among other things, the confidentiality and security of the data as well as their accuracy, updating and relevance to the stated purposes.
Categories of recipients
In connection with the stated purposes, the data may be passed on to companies and/or persons, who provide services, including external services, on behalf of the Data Controller for the implementation, promotion and communication of the event.
Transfer of data to non-EU third countries
Personal data will be processed by the Controller within the territory of the European Union. Should it become necessary, for technical and/or operational reasons, to make use of subjects located outside the European Union, or should it become necessary to transfer some of the collected data to technical systems and services managed in the cloud and located outside the European Union area, the processing will be regulated in compliance with the provisions of Chapter V of the EU Regulation and authorised on the basis of specific EU decisions. All necessary precautions will therefore be taken in order to ensure the fullest protection of personal data, basing the transfer
(a) on adequacy decisions of the receiving third countries expressed by the European Commission;
b) on adequate safeguards expressed by the receiving third party pursuant to Article 46 of the EU Regulation;
c) on the adoption of corporate binding rules.
Rights of the data subject
The data subject, in relation to the personal data covered by this information notice, is entitled to exercise the rights provided for in the EU Regulation below:

- right not to be subjected to automated decision-making processes [Art. 22 of the EU Regulation];

With reference to the above-mentioned purposes, the data subject has the right to proceed, at any time, to withdraw consent to the processing of identifying and personal data by sending an email to: privacy@polimi.it. Pursuant to Art. 7 of the EU Regulation, revocation of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent given before revocation.
